Hello there. Tone has asked me (Mrs. ToneCartoons), to let you know that there will be no Dalek cartoons for at least a couple of days, due to an unlikely turn of events.
On Saturday he was bitten by a kitten, (he is hoping this will bring you some amusement during the interlude) who over-enthusiastically bit through his finger as well as the beefburger Tone was offering him. This didn’t seem too bad at first, but as time has gone by an infection has progressed down the finger and into his arm. In the early hours of this morning we were advised to get straight to A & E. He is now on morphine for the pain and intravenous antibiotics for 48 hours. This afternoon he has to have an operation to open up his finger and clean it out. Luckily it his not his drawing hand.
Thanks to a member of the public known on Twitter as @jstrawsburg, we now have a possible suspect.
Although I happen to know the actual culprit is this rather adorable but dangerous 8 week old..
Hopefully he will be able to communicate with you all via mobile device later this evening.

As I said on Twitter, let us know if guest cartoons are required during recuperation. On behalf of the interwebs, please get well soon (and bring us more daleky goodness!)

No! this is disastrous!!
Health and safety will now demand that when feeding kittens:
1) A felt-lined chainmail glove is worn.
2) All kittens to have teeth and claws filed/removed.
3) A City&Guilds Program in kitten feeding will be introduced, and only qualified people may henceforth feed kittens.
4) A Dangerous Kitten register will be started.

Brilliant ! I have read these comments out to him over the phone. i am now off to make dinner for our brood. at least he should get some rest with an enforced stay in hospital.

Oh, no! We are so sorry to hear this news. My husband had the same problem a few years ago and it really is a bad situation. Best wishes to Tone for a speedy recovery, and belated congratulations for reaching his 100th comic.
Thank you !! It really seemed like nothing at the time, but he is not responding to the antibiotics yet so , jokes apart, he really is quite poorly. I will pass your kind wishes on : )
On the one hand I find it all very amusing that an 8 week old kitteh can bring down such destruction upon a man…but then I feel bad cos it’s happened to a talented (and seemingly) fab chap.

I only just discovered this wonderful site, but much like the Hippie Daleks in the last cartoon, I’ve fallen in love with the place. Please, take care of yourself and take the time you need to recover fully. Just keep all those ideas floating about and capture them later, when you are back up to full health.

Wow, cat’ s mouths are filled with bacteria that can be deadly, even when birds, mice, and rabbits get away from them, they die very often from infection from the bites.
A family friend recently got a dangeous infection in his hand, caught from wearing a oven mitt at a church dinner which obviously hadn’t been washed for awhile. His hand swelled up like a balloon the next day, and he had to be hospitalized too.
